Guy gets fired because company ran out of computers for him: 'They [fired me] to save...$4,500...at a company that makes BILLIONS of dollars'

Landing a job after a full year of unemployment elicited the biggest sigh of relief for this asset management employee; that is, until he was fired a mere two months later.

Of course, the employee was not at fault here. In fact, he was working hard to ensure that he was a necessary hire for the company, to no avail. He even went out of his way to do the work of other employees when they were on their breaks or when they called in sick. However, none of that extra work was recognized or validated. Instead, when the warehouse ran out of computers and needed to save money to order more, this Redditor was the first on the chopping block, so to speak. Mind you, this was a billion-dollar company that got rid of a necessary employee to save $4,500. Surely, there was a better way to handle this restructuring of finances.
